Meet Rue
Rue is a 5-year-old Aussie Mix who works with Tracy Stop, Science Teacher at Liberty Middle School. Rue holds Canine Good Citizen, Urban Citizen, and Alliance of Therapy Dogs certifications.
Rue is a Liberty favorite—greeting students during passing time, joining classes, and happily accepting pets, brushes, and treats. Students often request to spend time with Rue to help manage anxiety or to brighten their day.
She’s also known for her playful personality—once sneaking Ms. Stephens’ science experiment butter right off her desk! Rue’s warm, friendly presence has become a cherished part of Liberty’s school culture, with many students saying they “can’t wait to get to 8th grade” just to have class with her.
